Welcome to Medicinal Plants of the Malay Community

Traditional Medicine of the Malay Community dates back to more than 6000 years. Many of the documentation of the practice had been lost or destroyed a long time ago. What is left of the practice today are handed down by words of mouth from fathers to sons or from grandfathers to grandsons. Today the knowledge is slowly dwindling due to diminished interest in it by the younger generation. This site is an attempt at recovering the knowledge of the medicinal plants of the Malay community, and placing it online so that we can be sure that it will not be lost complete for as long as this site is available.
